Eddie Howe has been reacting to the news of Kieran Trippier leaving Newcastle United.

Eddie Howe was the Burnley manager who signed Kieran Trippier on loan for a year in July 2011 from Manchester City.

Then on 3 January 2012, Eddie Howe completed the permanent signing of the future England star. Kieran Trippier going on to be named Burnley’s player of the season.

Almost exactly ten years after the 3 January 2012 permanent signing for Burnley, Kieran Trippier signed for Newcastle United on 7 January 2022.
