Tottenham Hotspur were second best in all the departments to Arsenal and deserved to lose, but there were several moments in the North London derby to talk about, especially Randal Kolo Muani’s disallowed goal.

Eberechi Eze opened the scoring, but Randal Kolo Muani struck back to make it 1-1 heading into the second half. Two minutes after the interval, Viktor Gyokeres put Arsenal’s noses in front again. Tottenham fans had thought their team levelled things up once again when Kolo Muani netted past David Raya.

However, the goal was disallowed for a push in the back of Gabriel Magalhaes in the build-up, and the VAR did not think of intervening. As a result, referee Peter Bankes’ on-field decision stood.

Igor Tudor was left frustrated with Kolo Muani’s disallowed goal. In his post-match presser, the interim Spurs boss acknowledged the inconsistency of such decisions without getting embroiled in a lengthy criticism of the referee.
