It still feels an unlikely prospect, but the very fact Vitor Matos has even been asked about a possible play-off charge says a lot about the progress Swansea City have made in the last few weeks.

Matos himself has chosen to play down the chances of side crashing the top-six party, doing so again after the battling win over Bristol City on Saturday.

"More important is Preston," he declared after the win over the Robins. "That is in two days. We play again at home, which is brilliant and that doesn't happen a lot for us. So we have that now, we can recover, rest.

"We focus on Preston because that will be a massive game for us as well."
