Jadon Sancho has revealed he is "happy" at Aston Villa and praised manager Unai Emery following Manchester United's final decision on his future.

The 25-year-old joined Villa on loan last summer after he expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford. The England international had spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign at Borussia Dortmund and last season at Chelsea, having fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag at United.

While Sancho is content at Villa, his performances haven't quite hit the heights expected. The forward, born in 2000, has managed just one goal and one assist across 25 appearances for the Midlands club this term.

However, Emery has shown faith in Sancho since the beginning of 2026, handing the former Dortmund star a starting berth in Villa's previous five Premier League fixtures. "When you have a manager that back to you, you go into training with a lot more confidence, and obviously matchdays," Sancho told Villa's official website.

"So, I'm just happy that I'm playing, and hopefully I can help the team throughout the season."
