Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes Aston Villa could sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis this summer.

The England international joined the Villans on a season-long loan from the Red Devils last summer, and he has already registered 25 appearances in all competitions.

The 25-year-old has not made any meaningful contribution with just one goal and one assist, but O’Hara feels Sancho could sign for the Villans on a long-term contract.

Sancho’s current deal with United expires at the end of June, and the ex-Spurs man says Villa could reach an agreement with the forward if he accepts a huge pay cut.

In an interview with 10bet, O’Hara said: “Maybe if the wages were right, I guess. If the wages they could come to an agreement on, then yeah.

“He’s a talented football player. Man United paid 80 million pounds for him, putting him on 250 grand a week.”

“And that’s the problem they’ve had. He looked like he’d lost the fire in his belly. He looked like he was more about going out than actually playing football.
