RANGERS Under-19 boss Liam Ross has departed the Scottish giants to take up a role in the Saints academy, the Daily Echo understands.

As first reported by our sister publication, the Rangers Review, Ross has sealed a move to the south coast club.

He will join Nick Davies' group talent development team, working across Sport Republic's portfolio of clubs as individual coach analyst.

Ross has previously worked for Dundee United and Swansea City, both former clubs of head of group talent strategy Andy Goldie.

Ross had been in charge of Rangers' under-19s ever since previous boss Steven Smith was appointed to Danny Rohl's first-team coaching staff.

He has also been working as under-21s assistant coach for the Scottish national team since September 2025.

Saints have carried out changes to their academy set-up recently, with Adam Lallana formally appointed under-21s boss in January.

Dean Wilkins, who was previously part of Nigel Adkins backroom staff, has re-joined the club as player transition coach.
