Danny Rohl is expected to drop Dujon Sterling from his Rangers starting eleven against Livingston.

After beating Hearts 4-2 at Ibrox, the Gers will take on Livingston next at Alderstone Road.

Rohl’s side go into this game as overwhelming favourites as the Lions are rooted to the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table and are expected to get relegated.

Sterling was handed a start against Hearts on Sunday as Rohl wanted defensive solidity at full-back.

James Tavernier, while being great going forward and also being their regular penalty taker, is not the best option in terms of defence.

Hearts could have looked to have exploited the Gers’ right side had the captain started, so it was a pragmatic decision to keep him on the bench.

However, it was not the best outing for Sterling either.

The 26-year-old failed to win a single tackle during the time he was on the pitch, and he lost the majority of his attempted ground duels as well. [Sofascore]

Going forward, too, he was ineffective, completing just one out of his four attempted crosses.

Unlike Hearts, Livingston will not be taking the game to Rangers, so having an attack-minded right-back would actually be beneficial.
