James Bree scored the winner in extra time as Saints beat Championship opposition with five academy players on the pitch at the end.

There was a debut for winger Sufianu Sillah Dibaga, who looked bright, while loanee George Long also featured for the first time.

This win, which saw Eckert ring the changes, means Saints are now six games unbeaten across all competitions.

Did not inspire confidence on his debut, but these were his first minutes since facing Portsmouth with Norwich in 2025. Could have done better to stop Skipp's equaliser and had to be bailed out by Joshua Quarshie at the death.
