Liverpool supporters are desperate to see more of Rio Ngumoha this season, with Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Brighton potentially throwing up a good opportunity for that to happen.

Despite being extremely highly-rated, Arne Slot has been reluctant to overuse the former Chelsea youngster, meaning his game time has been limited.

Saturday could be a chance to bring Ngumoha into the starting XI, however, with Slot potentially rotating between Premier League matches.

If he does decide to bring some Liverpool academy players into the mix, Ngumoha is the outstanding candidate.

Despite being only 17, many Reds fans think the teenager has the potential to start even bigger games than the one on Saturday, and although former Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby says he does not agree with this stance, he does think Ngumoha should start against the Seagulls.

There has been a clamour amongst Liverpool supporters to see much more of Ngumoha in what has been a difficult campaign so far. According to Molby, though, the youngster is ‘100 per cent not ready’ to feature when it really matters.
