Once again, I find myself in a very familiar and very frustrating position. Once again, I have to criticise a Celtic site, which I won’t name, and a Celtic writer, who I won’t name. Regular readers of the Celtic ecosystem will know exactly who I mean.

He seems to believe we need to hear every thought that comes out of the mouths of people like Ross McCormack, Charlie Adam, Derek Ferguson, Barry Ferguson and the rest of the club’s most predictable critics.

In this game, the pressure to produce content every single day can tempt people into lazy work. The temptation is to recycle other people’s words. The temptation is to amplify other people’s opinions and push them into the public domain. However, when those opinions are aggressively anti-Celtic, you have to question the logic behind it. When those opinions also defy basic football logic, then it becomes a real problem.

To be clear, I’ve said many times that I don’t read the Daily Record. I don’t read the Sun. I don’t consume the illiterate ramblings of professional contrarians. I’ve already said I don’t listen to Radio Clyde. I don’t follow Open Goal or any of the other shows...
