Everton’s winless run at Hill Dickinson Stadium extended to six matches as – in a reversal in fortunes to their game at Fulham on Saturday – they threw away a 1-0 half-time lead to lose 2-1 to Bournemouth.

The Blues found a breakthrough on 42 minutes when Rayan brought down Jarrad Branthwaite in the area and Iliman Ndiaye struck the penalty low to Djordje Petrovic’s right and into the corner of the goal.

However, David Moyes’ men’s efforts were unravelled in the space of just three mad minutes in the second half as Bournemouth netted through a brace of headers from Rayan (61) and Amine Adli (64). Their collapse was complete five minutes after that when Jake O’Brien was sent off for a professional foul on Adli.
