Pundit Alan Shearer has backed Aston Villa to end the Premier League season strongly in the race for a top-five finish.

Villa had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Bournemouth on Saturday. Morgan Rogers’ 10th goal of the campaign was cancelled out by Rayan 10 minutes after the break.

The stalemate on the south coast came on the back of defeat at home to Brentford for Unai Emery’s side. They have picked up one win in their last five league games and are nine points behind table-toppers Arsenal, but Shearer believes this term can still be one to remember for Villa.
