Unai Emery was pleased with Aston Villa’s point at Bournemouth but had little time for questions about the Premier League title after full-time.

Despite drawing with Bournemouth, with Manchester United and Chelsea closing in on third place, Emery was still asked about challenging Arsenal.

The Gunners had beaten Sunderland 3-0 at the Emirates, leaving Villa nine points behind first place with 13 matches remaining in the campaign.

Morgan Rogers opened the scoring for Villa in the 22nd minute against the Cherries, finishing with aplomb from inside the box after being set up by Jadon Sancho.

However, Lucas Digne had a bizarre lapse of concentration 10 minutes into the second half, allowing Bournemouth’s Rayan to stroll into the area and fire past Emiliano Martinez.

Bournemouth were the better side in the second period, with Martinez called into action several times to preserve a point for the visitors.
