Leicester City have been found to be in breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) for their 23-24 finances and have been deducted six points by the EFL, pushing them deeper into the Championship relegation battle.

What's the background?

In May 2025, City were charged with an alleged breach of PSR for the three years up to the end of 23-24 season, in which they won the Championship.

In November, the hearing was held and on Thursday, the verdict of the independent commission was announced.

What was the commission's decision?

It is deemed that City were in breach of PSR. They recommended a six-point deduction - which has been exacted immediately by the EFL.
