Leicester City have been slapped with a six-point deduction after being found to have breached the Premier League's financial rules.

The Foxes were deemed to have breached Profitability and Sustainability Rules for the 2023/24 season, when they were last in the Championship. When Leicester were promoted, the investigation was transferred to the Premier League.

Leicester were also accused of failing to provide their annual accounts before the December 31 deadline. And there was an additional charge after failing an “obligation to provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League”.

A statement from the Premier League read: "During a week-long hearing in November 2025, Leicester City raised a range of legal challenges regarding the applicability of the relevant Rules and the Commission’s ability to impose a sanction on the club.
