Jeremie Frimpong was forced to leave the pitch due to an injury early in Liverpool's Champions League match against FK Qarabag. The Dutch international had to be replaced by Wataru Endo after pulling up with a hamstring issue just minutes into the game.

The summer recruit has been plagued by muscular problems this season, and this latest setback seems significant. With Conor Bradley already sidelined due to a long-term problem, Dominik Szoboszlai may have to fill in at right-back.

Alexander Isak is another key player expected to be out for several months after breaking his leg in the 2-1 victory over Tottenham shortly before Christmas.
