Tottenham Hotspur are ready to take a major step to ensure that a deal they agreed on last week goes through without any hiccups.

Given the ongoing turmoil at Tottenham at the moment, the last thing Spurs fans will be concerned with is the future of Alejo Veliz, but it is a situation that is creating headaches at the North London club.

The striker has impressed on loan at Rosario Central this term, and it emerged last week that Spurs accepted an £8.7m bid for Veliz from Brazilian side Bahia.

However, Veliz’s move to Bahia has hit a roadblock, as the conditions for Tottenham recalling the striker from his loan spell in Rosario this month have not been met.
