Kilmarnock have signed former Aberdeen goalkeeper Kelle Roos on loan for the rest of the season.

The 33-year-old joins Neil McCann’s squad from Notts County and the deal spells the end of Celtic keeper Tobi Oluwayemi’s emergency loan.

Oluwayemi arrived at Killie after Max Stryjek was diagnosed with a heart problem that required surgery. Stryjek is back in light training.

When asked earlier in the day about the prospect of making signings, McCann said: “I hope so.

“As I said, there was absolutely no guarantees from the board that I would be able to do that. They gave me assurances that they would try to get some help to the dressing room because I think the group that I’ve got in there could be doing with a wee bit of help in certain areas.

“But as I said before, if I didn’t get anybody it’s up to me to try and improve us in all aspects of our game. But I would like to think that we might get one or two over the line.
