There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Çaykur Rizespor are showing interest in Watford forward Mamadou Doumbia.

The 19-year-old has now returned to Vicarage Road following Mali’s AFCON quarter final defeat to Senegal.

Fotomac report on Çaykur Rizespor’s pursuit for a forward, after Jesurun Rak-Sakyi recently returned to Crystal Palace.

The 23-year-old joined the Super Lig side on a season-long deal last summer, but his stay has been cut short. During his time in Turkey Rak-Sakyi he made 13 appearances, scoring four goals.

However, it’s claimed his return to England was via Crystal Palace’s request. What the Eagles now plan to do with him is unclear.

Swansea City are reportedly keen to take the player on loan for the remainder of the season. Stoke City have also been linked in recent days.

Subsequently, Çaykur Rizespor are back in the market for an attacker and have identified the Watford attacker. The Black Sea club find themselves close to the relegation places and are keen to add to their squad this month.
