Manchester United are set to undergo a major managerial change, with INEOS apparently confirming the new interim management team that they will employ following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.

Immediately after Amorim’s dismissal, Darren Fletcher assumed the role of caretaker manager, yet it was clear from the get-go that a more experienced candidate was desired.

After just two games at the helm, it appears that the former United midfielder will already be replaced.

Carrick incoming

The Peoples Person relayed this morning that Michael Carrick has agreed to become Man United’s caretaker manager until the end of the season.

David Ornstein explained that the agreement is subject to finalising contract details with an announcement from United expected shortly.

Still, the lack of a final announcement has not detracted Carrick from driving ahead with his plans for United, with the club legend already making some key decisions regarding his upcoming tenure.

Carrick’s number two, revealed

“Michael Carrick has agreed to become Manchester United interim head coach – and former England assistant manager Steve Holland is set to be his number two,” BBC Sport reported.
