After a summer of heavy outgoing business in 2025 and with the club’s latest star departing midway through the season following a difficult run of form for the club, transfer rumours are once again swirling around AFC Bournemouth.

It is no secret that the Cherries have been left with a sizeable financial boost following those exits, only adding fuel to online speculation. 

Early indications suggest the club are targeting central defenders, wingers, including a direct replacement for Antoine Semenyo, and a goalkeeper, although the club already moved quickly to sign veteran shot-stopper Fraser Forster at the start of the window.

Speaking on Friday morning, Sky Sports Bournemouth reporter, Mark McAdam said on Twitter:

“Andoni Iraola has confirmed the club are working hard to find an Antoine Semenyo replacement but nothing is close.”

“He does expect the fans to see new faces before the end of the window.”

“Iraola also confirms the club are hoping to recruit for other positions as well.”
