Manchester United interim manager Darren Fletcher has twin sons who play for different international teams. The Scot will oversee United's clash with Burnley in the Premier League tonight. In recent matches, one or both of his sons had been included on the substitutes' bench. Jack made his Premier League debut in the defeat to Aston Villa last month and has since played 45 minutes each against both Newcastle and Wolves.

The Fletcher twins joined United from Manchester City's academy in 2023. A modest £1.25million fee brought the pair from the Etihad to Old Trafford, where they've been developing through the age groups. Darren was a former Scotland international with 81 senior caps and Tyler has joined the Scotland youth system. But by contrast, Jack has opted to play for England.

Born in England whilst their father was playing under Sir Alex Ferguson at United, the twins were eligible for both England and Scotland. Notably, Ferguson's side had a fixture on the day the twins arrived, but Darren missed it due to an ankle ligament problem.
