Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland has given his opinion on last weekend's controversial incident between himself and Celtic defender Auston Trusty.

At Hampden on Sunday's Old Firm semi-final in the Premier Sports Cup, Trusty caught Butland in the face with a late challenge, an act deemed as a yellow card offence by referee Nick Walsh and his officiating team.

Almost a week on, Butland has had his say on the incident. "I think there's been a lot of opinions on it," he said. "At the time, I thought it was late."
