Nasser Djiga has been the subject of extensive criticism since joining Rangers on loan in the summer transfer window, with Billy Dodds the latest to chime in.

Djiga has performed dreadfully for Rangers, yet under Danny Rohl he has featured prominently on the right of a back three.

Next up for the Bears is a huge clash against Roma, with Rohl looking to steer his side to a first Europa League win of the season.

Billy Dodds was the assistant manager under Barry Ferguson at the end of 2024-25 , and believes that Djiga must be dropped against Roma if Rangers want to revive their Europa League campaign.

The 22-year-old defender joined Rangers on a loan deal from Wolves and has struggled with life at Ibrox so far.

Journalist Mark Guidi believes Djiga could cause problems if Rangers are serious about mounting a title challenge this season, and his red card against Dundee on 9 August showcased his inability to play at this level.

Djiga also faced criticism from Ally McCoist following his dismal display in the 6-0 loss to Club Brugge.
