Arne Slot has revealed Ryan Gravenberch is in contention to face Aston Villa on Saturday in Liverpool’s Premier League game.

The Dutch player has not played due to an injury problem, which he picked up during the 2-1 Manchester United loss at Anfield two weeks ago.

Gravenberch has been an integral part of Liverpool’s success this season, and confirmation from the boss that he has been in training yesterday and will do so today is a positive sign.

This Liverpool side has been struggling with injuries so far, with another added to the list when Curtis Jones was subbed off in the 3-2 defeat to Brentford at the weekend.

Speaking at the press conference on Friday, Slot also spoke about the fitness of Alexander Isak and Jones and if they are in contention to start this weekend.
