Nick Woltemade continued his impressive start to life at Newcastle United as he scored during their 2-0 win against Tottenham on Wednesday.

Woltemade, 23, bagged his SIXTH goal in 11 appearances as the Magpies progressed through to the Carabao Cup quarter-final for the fourth successive season.

Fabian Schar put Eddie Howe's side in front in the first half before Woltemade headed home just after the interval to give the Magpies a two-goal cushion and seal a comfortable win.

After signing for Newcastle in a £69million deal from Stuttgart in August, it felt as though a lot of pressure was put on Woltemade to replace the void left by Alexander Isak. But the German has been at St James' Park for two months, and it doesn't feel like the Magpies have missed the now-Liverpool forward at all.
