Jeremie Frimpong could be ruled out until December after suffering a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. The Netherlands international was forced off after just 19 minutes against the Bundesliga outfit, and has since sat out the Reds’ losses to Brentford and Crystal Palace.

Arne Slot admitted in Germany that he expected the right-back to be ‘out now for a few weeks,’ before later revealing he was set for a prolonged stint on the sidelines.

“Jeremie's not in a good place,” Slot admitted ahead of facing Brentford. “What I mean by that he is definitely not going to play today, tomorrow or next week. Hamstring injury so that's going to take a while.”
