Rangers midfielder Connor Barron feels the mood within the squad has changed since the arrival of Danny Rohl and back-to-back league wins.

A 1-0 victory over Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday saw the team climb to third in the table under their new boss, and meant successive victories in the league for the first time this season.

Barron played a key role in the hard-fought win and believes the side is starting to build some momentum after a dismal start to the season under Russell Martin. With Rohl now in place, improvement has been encouraging for the team and the midfielder said there is an optimistic mood in the camp.

“He’s managed really well,” Barron said. “After the game at the weekend we just wanted to come into the Hibs game, get another three points and build a bit of momentum.

“We’ve done that so it’s a happy camp and we’re all buzzing going forward into the weekend.

“There’s been a real lift in the dressing-room, and wins help with that as well.

“It’s positive in there and it’s important that we keep building momentum week on week and pick up as many points as we can.
