Rangers finally kept a clean sheet against Hibernian in the William Hill Premiership despite a late scare on Wednesday.

Danny Rohl’s team travelled to Easter Road on 29 October, with James Tavernier, Djeidi Gassama, Mohamed Diomande, Thelo Aasgaard and Bojan Miovski dropped from the starting lineup.

Youssef Chermiti surprisingly made the team against Hibs, setting up the Gers’ opening goal, albeit Danilo’s finish did most of the work.

After a pretty uneventful second half, Hibs were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute as Connor Barron brought down Junior Hoilett, but Jack Butland was on hand to save it as the game ended 1-0.

Danilo has had somewhat of a revival under Rohl, with the striker scoring two goals with his last two shots on target.

The 26-year-old hadn’t scored in 16 matches before finding the back of the net against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on 26 October.

While it’s encouraging to see the Brazilian national get back to his best for the Light Blues, his consistent fitness issues have been frustrating in G51.

Supporters will hope Danilo stays fit for a long period, as it definitely looks like the German manager can turn his fortunes...
