Jack Butland says his homework helped him save a late penalty for Rangers.

The Hibernian midfielder, Jamie McGrath, had a chance to equalise for his team in the last few moments of the match.

However, Butland dived to his right and denied the Irishman.

The Rangers goalkeeper said [Sky Sports]: "I faced him [McGrath] before, when he was at Aberdeen.

He also praised the team's effort, saying: "But it was important for us.

"We're a young group, a new group that's learning.

"The fight that we showed is something we're going to need going forward.

"The boys fully deserve it."
