Rangers got off to a dream start against Hibernian on Wednesday, as they went into the break 1-0 up.

Danny Rohl was looking to build on Rangers’ 3-1 win over Kilmarnock and continue his side’s rise up the Scottish Premiership table.

Rohl had made five changes to Rangers’ starting line-up from that victory for the trip to Easter Road on 29 October.

The likes of Nasser Djiga and Max Aarons started, and Youssef Chermiti was also handed an opportunity to impress.

Danilo was on the periphery under Russell Martin, but Rohl seems to trust the 26-year-old much more than the ex-Southampton man.

That faith paid off as he opened the scoring with a stunning curling effort from just outside the penalty area to give the Gers the lead, just five minutes into the contest.
