Why didn’t we just leave the lad at Southampton until Xmas. At least he would be getting minutes in. Moyes clearly doesn’t fancy him so what’s the point in him probably becoming disheartened around Finch Farm.

I thought he was removed from first team training when we started bidding for him and Southampton fans were quite happy to see him sold and questioned his mentality and commitment to Southampton.

So it probably wouldn’t have been a good environment to keep him there on loan. However, he could still go out on loan to another Championship team in January,...
