Thierno Barry has replaced Beto for Everton’s game at Sunderland as David Moyes looks for what would be a valuable three points.

The 23-year-old will continue his search for a first competitive goal since joining from Villarreal in the summer. His nine Premier League appearances have yielded some good moments - particularly his role in the build up to both goals in the 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

But this will be his first start since the win over Crystal Palace last month - Everton’s most recent victory - as Moyes continues to try and find goals from his frontline forwards. Beto, who Barry replaces, has just two goals for the campaign to date and his only goal in the league came at Molineux at the end of August.
