Manchester United’s academy pipeline keeps producing stars and a few are already threatening to break into the senior team.

One of them is Shea Lacey, who has caught Ruben Amorim’s eye and has been tipped to make the difference when the likes of Amad and Bryan Mbeumo leave for the Africa Cup of Nations.

In fact, he was the only academy graduate called up to first team training before the Liverpool clash.

And even though he was not included in the matchday squad, it is clear how highly Amorim rates him.

Not only the United head coach, but also the England national team setup, with the Carrington wonderkid called up to train with the Three Lions squad by Thomas Tuchel recently.

But he is only 18, and still needs to develop physically, and the Red Devils are expected to be careful when integrating him into the first team squad given his injury history.

Even a loan exit cannot be ruled out at this stage as revealed by journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon.
