Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has maintained that Manchester United did not make the encounter overly challenging for his side during their 4-2 loss on Saturday. United deserved their 2-0 advantage at the interval following Matheus Cunha's curled finish and Casemiro's deflected effort.

Bryan Mbeumo's strike made it 3-0 in the second half and the outcome appeared settled. Nevertheless, Danny Welbeck's free-kick and Charalampos Kostoulas' header during stoppage time created a tense conclusion. But Mbeumo's second goal in front of the Stretford End secured the three points.

Speaking to Sky Sports following the match, Hurzeler was questioned whether United, who delivered another impressive performance, made the contest overly demanding for Brighton, but the German dismissed that notion.

"I wouldn't say that they made it too difficult, we had a good plan but it just came down to execution," he refuted.
