Manchester United have raised concerns to the Premier League over their scheduled fixtures.

Lack of Europe

This season has been an adjustment for many United fans with the club having no European commitments this year.

It is the first time since the 2014/2015 season that the club has had no Continental competition to enjoy.

United fans may have looked at one silver lining being they might get to experience some more traditional Saturday kick offs as a consequence but this does not appear to be the case.

Fixtures complaint

The Athletic report that, “Manchester United have spoken to the Premier League to express their concerns about the number of midweek games they are scheduled to play between now and Christmas.”

Unbelievably, “in the 12 weeks between October 5 and December 25, United will play only one home match on a weekend — against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.”

November’s kick off versus Everton after the international break is scheduled for a Monday.

As is the December fixture against AFC Bournemouth. The home clash against West Ham United in the final month of the year is also currently planned for a Thursday night.
