Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph has admitted he feels he’s getting better at loan club RCD Mallorca after escaping “a lot of pressure” at Elland Road.

Cadena SER cover comments from the striker today after he finally got off the mark for his new club. They say he is quickly becoming ‘one of the most popular player’ on the island right now.

The young Spanish striker joined Mallorca on loan from Leeds in the summer window after something of a difficult transfer window. He had been linked heavily with a move to Real Betis throughout the summer, even holding off on other moves while waiting for them.

That never ended up happening and he instead headed to Mallorca for the season in search of regular playing time.

He’s yet to full establish himself in their plans, with four starts from nine games so far in what’s been a difficult start to the season for the Spanish side.
