Bruno Fernandes may often receive criticism at Manchester United, but he’ll always have a fan in Sofyan Amrabat.

That’s at least if his latest comments, relayed by Feyenoord Pings, are anything to go by. He’s been praising Fernandes on the YouTube show Bij Andy in de Auto.

Amrabat had the chance to play alongside Fernandes for Manchester United back in 2023. He joined United on loan from Fiorentina that season, going on to make 30 appearances in all competition across the campaign.

His season at the club is not one that will be fondly remember by anyone. Indeed, they passed the opportunity to sign him permanently the following summer. That’s despite United paying €10m to loan him initially.

He’s since headed to Fenerbahce, first on loan then permanently, before joining Real Betis on loan this summer. He’s happy to look back on his time at Manchester United whenever asked, though, and picked out Fernandes for praise in his latest discussion.

“It was really quite something. United is still a truly massive club in every way,” he said.
