Birmingham and Hull City have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after their game on Saturday.

It is alleged both sides failed to ensure their players/technical area staff did not behave in an improper way in the 42nd minute of the Championship game.

Blues striker Jay Stansfield, Tigers forward Joe Gelhardt and two members of coaching staff were shown yellow cards by referee Ruebyn Ricardo after a fracas which was sparked by two heavy challenges from either side near the halfway line.

Birmingham goalkeeper Bradley Mayo, who was not in the matchday squad, has independently been charged for his conduct towards the match officials after the final whistle.

The clubs and Mayo have until Monday, 27 October to prove responses.

Hull City won the match 3-2 to inflict a first home league defeat on Birmingham since April 2024.
