A popular cafe chain is set to open their first Yorkshire branch in Leeds city centre.

Those who have walked down Boar Lane in recent days will likely have seen the hoardings up promoting the launch of Federal. The finishing touches are currently ongoing in the unit before Federal welcomes its first customers - it is one of a number of exciting new Leeds openings.

Established in Manchester in 2014, Federal is inspired by Kiwi and Aussie neighbourhood cafes, and has built a global reputation for serving exceptional coffee, standout brunch dishes and offering a warm, welcoming service.

It is famed for its recent introduction of canned iced Matcha, which have taken social media by storm and its constant queues of fans.

The new Boar Lane Federal will seat 70 guests and is due to open this autumn. Founded by owner Claudio Ribeiro, the brand has firmly established itself over the last decade as Manchester’s favourite brunch hangout and has grown to four outlets with venues in the Northern Quarter, Deansgate, Oxford Road and Altrincham.
