Liverpool continued the impressive start to their UEFA Youth League campaign by beating Eintracht Frankfurt in an nine-goal thriller in Germany.

Trent Kone-Doherty scored twice while an own goal, Josh Sonni-Lambie and substitute Oliver O'Connor all found the target as the Reds under-19s won 5-4 in remarkable fashion at the Sportpark Dreieich on Wednesday afternoon.

Rob Page's side now have seven points from nine at the halfway point of the league stage to leave themselves in seventh place and in a strong position to finish inside the top 22 and secure progress to the knockout stages.

And one player in particular caught the eye as Liverpool indicated their intent to once again take this competition seriously.
