Aston Villa are 'ready' to offer midfielder Morgan Rogers a new contract to extend his time at Villa Park, according to reports. The 23-year-old joined the Villans from Middlesbrough in February 2024 and has gone on to become one of Unai Emery's most important players.

The England international's stand-out performances put him on the radar of a number of other Premier League clubs in the summer, but Villa were able to fend off approaches from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, with Liverpool also rumoured to be interested and the talented star.

Rogers netted his first goal of the season last weekend in the 2-1 win over Spurs, having plundered 14 last season during an outstanding campaign. He signed a contract extension last November and his current deal is not set to expire until 2030, but with other top clubs circuling, it now seems that Villa are prepared to present him with an improved deal.

The new contract comes as Matty Cash and Jonh McGinn are also set to be rewarded with new deals.
