Rangers’ search for a new manager has descended into farce in recent days.

Steven Gerrard was the favourite for the Rangers vacancy, but he withdrew his name from contention after talks with the Govan outfit.

Then, Former Rangers star Kevin Muscat seemed set to take over, but he pulled out on Sunday after agreeing a deal in principle.

It leaves the 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh in a difficult situation, as supporters at Ibrox are beginning to question their ability to lead the club.
