Manchester United broke their nine-year Anfield hoodoo on Sunday, as Ruben Amorim’s side emerged 2-1 victors against Liverpool.

Not only the club, but even the head coach got the monkey off his back after 12 months, with the Red Devils finally winning back-to-back Premier League games in his tenure.

When the teams were announced, there was a fair bit of pessimism among United supporters as the Portuguese tactician opted to drop Benjamin Sesko despite the Slovenian scoring in consecutive games before the international break.

The other big call was bringing Harry Maguire back into the starting lineup in place of the in-form Leny Yoro. Safe to say, both decisions worked an absolute treat.

Matheus Cunha, who started in place of Sesko, fought like a warrior for the whole game, while the former skipper came up with the winner.
