Former Leeds United defender Aidy White believes the club should consider moving on forward Joel Piroe in January.

The striker has not started a match since the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal in the second week of the season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin preferred to lead the line in recent weeks.

In the two games since the 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth, Leeds have looked blunt in attack — first in the 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur before the international break, and then in the 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday in the Premier League.

At Turf Moor, Leeds dominated possession for long spells and managed 19 shots on goal. However, they were unable to find the back of the net and were eventually undone by strikes from Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna.

Speaking on BBC Radio (h/t Leeds United News ), White suggested Piroe could move on in the mid-season window after falling down the pecking order.
