Sunderland continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 win over Vitor Pereira's struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers. Nordi Mukiele's first-half strike looked as though it was going to be the decisive moment in the game, though the Black Cats should have had a larger cushion at the half-time interval.

Trai Hume's header onto the post was a brilliant opportunity to double their lead, but he couldn't quite direct his effort in off the woodwork.

The Black Cats may have been impressive in the first half, but Wolves were also really poor. The visitors did improve for the second 45 minutes, but there were very few signs of quality from either side in the second half.
