TBR Football understand Chelsea are pleased with Jamie Gittens, despite his difficult transition to the Premier League this season.

Chelsea paid £48million for Gittens during the summer transfer window following his impressive run of form for Borussia Dortmund, but the transition hasn’t been the smoothest.

The tricky winger has yet to score a goal or assist for the Blues this season, leading to some question marks from fans in the early stages of the season.

However, while there might be concern in the terraces, there are no worries taking place within the football club at this stage.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has exclusively revealed that Chelsea are pleased with the way all the young players have adapted this season, including Gittens.

“The competition for places at Chelsea is fierce. Gittens’ break probably came at the wrong time for him; he was just starting to get a look-in.

“People forget that although he’s English, he doesn’t have Premier League experience. He was coming from the Bundesliga, and that’s not always an easy transition.

“But there are no issues there. Chelsea are happy with how all their young players have adapted.”
