Tottenham took to the pitch in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford during the international break, with several familiar faces involved as the squad looked to maintain match sharpness at Hotspur Way.

Several Tottenham Hotspur players are currently away on international duty with their respective countries, as the race for a place in the 2026 World Cup finals heats up.

However, not everyone has jetted off across the continent, with a number of players remaining at Hotspur Way after missing out on international call-ups.

It was revealed yesterday that Spurs had organised a behind-closed-doors friendly with Championship side Watford, giving some of those who stayed behind an opportunity to get valuable minutes into their legs.

Tottenham mostly fielded a young side in their friendly encounter, but three first-team players also featured in the tie against the Hornets.

Javi Gracia has returned to the dugout for Watford, and it was his side who came out on top, securing a 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

While the result itself holds little weight, the outing allowed Randal Kolo Muani to gain some much-needed minutes, with the French forward making his return from a dead leg.
