Journalist Pete O’Rourke has revealed what kind of offer Tottenham would need to make to stand a chance of signing their long-term target, Antoine Semenyo.

At the start of the summer window, it was widely reported that Semenyo was a target for Tottenham, but the winger ended up signing a new five-year contract with Bournemouth in July.

The 25-year-old has made an outstanding start to the campaign and is one of the most in-form players across the Premier League, with six goals and three assists in seven league outings this term.

Some sources have explored the possibility of Tottenham going back in for Semenyo, but it has now emerged that the Lilywhites will have to shatter their transfer record to sign the Cherries star.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has now confirmed that Spurs’ interest in the 25-year-old has not gone away, but he has warned that it would be a very difficult deal to do.

He claimed that Thomas Frank’s men may have to spend £80m to prise the winger away from the Vitality Stadium. That fee is £15m more than Tottenham’s current record signing, Dominic Solanke.
