Adam Wharton believes complacency was to blame for the end of his Crystal Palace’s 19-game unbeaten run against Everton. Jack Grealish scored a dramatic 93rd-minute winner as the Blues came from behind at Hill Dickinson Stadium to secure a 2-1 victory over Oliver Glasner’s side.

The defeat was Palace's first in all competitions since April 16 and midfielder Wharton admitted: “We had good possession of the ball, got in good positions, had some good chances and we should have been out of sight really, but we weren't and I think we got a bit complacent as we were playing so well, but you can't do that in the Premier League.

“They got a goal back and the crowd got behind them, a great atmosphere for them to kick on, get the momentum and it was difficult from there.
